| Initial Impression | Didn't they do "Cult of Personality"? | |
| Notable Lyric | From "Lost Halo": Where'd you leave your halo, Angel? Is it underneath the Devil's bed? Did you lose it among the stars? Or is it circling my heart? | |
| Factoid | After Living Colour broke up in 1995, everyone, including Mick Jagger, wanted to know when they were getting back together. Collideoscope is their first studio album in ten years. | |
| Serve With | Fellow Lollapalooza performers. | |
| Comments | Time off from being Living Colour did them some good. Their songs and lyrics are provocative, touching, and filled with political irony. "In Your Name" is filled with confusion and leaves the listener wondering if weve lost our perspective. The best line I've heard in ages is from "Nightmare City": Here comes the crawling politicians on their ghetto safari. Collideoscope also explores social issues in songs like "Flying", a tribute to 9/11, and "Sacred Ground". Listen to "Song Without Sin" which is bound to be the next teen anthem. "? of When" is ominous with a ring of truth. The lyrics of the song are printed on a picture of red clouds with a single airplane. And yes, they sang "Cult of Personality". | |
